Melchizedek Identity Verification
# 📜 BVCAP 2.0 Melchizedek Identity Verification Report Agenda: Comparative Analysis of Multiple Interpretations of Melchizedek's Identity and Verification of Textual Consistency
Analysis Engine: BVCAP 2.0 (Supreme Convergence Auditor) Analysis Tools Used: TYPE-G (Original Language/Grammar), TYPE-C (Category Separation), TYPE-E (Competitive Model Comparison), TYPE-AL (Verification of Semantic Ambiguity), TYPE-AC (Counterfactual Substitution Verification), TYPE-N (Exclusivity Verification), TYPE-P (Reverse Logic)
🛠️ Developer's Preface
Jesus is the Word. WORD. We communicate using language, which is a combination of words. Computer programs are also developed with source code, which is a combination of words.
I think the way I looked at the Bible changed when I realized there is a more complete Bible without 'omitted' verses. As a program developer, I may have inadvertently read and studied the Bible as if it were perfect source code.
Then, as we entered the AI era, and from a position where I unavoidably had to study AI, I practically applied it at work and at home. The analysis to find errors in the Islamic Quran was the earnest beginning, and applying that analysis method in reverse to prove that the Bible has no contradictions was attempted, but the results were below expectations. It was merely at the level of simple GPT search results.
Bible analysis required a completely different design. Large Language Models (LLMs/AIs) have learned the vast knowledge and wisdom of truth established by our seniors in faith and theologians. BVCAP does not create new truth. It is designed to track down to the end the knowledge of truth that already exists in the Bible but has not yet been connected, to find the result (inference).
From the perspective of a believer who trusts the Bible as truth (Identity) Through various textual analysis methods (Strategy and Tactics) Referencing practical combat experience (Combat Records) Holding various logical tools (Arsenal) It operates (Pipeline) by using them sequentially one by one, through combo attacks, or by verifying anticipated counter-arguments.
Therefore, when looking for any doctrine, counter-argument, or contradiction in the Bible, it generates an analytical depth that is difficult to reach alone. In other words, it is like being supported from behind by the data of wisdom and knowledge of reliable and competent seniors in faith.
The analysis results are output as a report. (Battle Report) If the report's result uses a logic or method that did not exist before, it is equipped in the combat records and arsenal (Virtuous Cycle) so it can be utilized as is in the next analysis. As a result, there are over 40 equipped weapons, incorporating academics such as logic, hermeneutics, and theology along with IT technology.
However, BVCAP's reports are not 100% correct answers. It also gives wrong answers. It is also true that when faced with a problem, I pray to seek God's wisdom.
I am personally not 100% confident in the results of the reports. I am a program developer, not a theologian. I believe the final verification should be left to competent theologians.
The Bible is truth, right? Then why are there difficult problems? Perhaps God allowed the BVCAP program?

📊 Melchizedek's Identity — Summary of Comparison of 5 Interpretations
| # | Interpretation | Support Ratio | Core Claim | Main Basis | Core Problem | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Absence of Record Theory (Historical Human Typology) | ~40% | Melchizedek is an ordinary human king, and "without parents" is merely an omission of record | Unrecorded genealogies in ancient documents are common | Heb 7:8 "of whom it is witnessed that he liveth" → If human, he should have already died. Passing off "no record" downgrades "no end" to "no record of death" → Direct collision with Heb 7:8 | ❌ |
| 2 | Shem Theory (Son of Noah) | ~5% | Chronological calculation shows Shem survived until Abraham's time → Melchizedek = Shem | Gen 11 lifespan calculation | Shem's genealogy is clear (Gen 10:1, 11:10) → Direct contradiction to "without descent (Heb 7:3)". Shem's parents (Noah/Naamah) are also recorded → Contradiction to "without father/mother" | ❌ |
| 3 | Eucharist Typology | ~15% | Bread and wine are typologies of the Mass/Eucharist | Gen 14:18 bread and wine | No record of altar, offering, or ritual in Gen 14. It is physical food supplied to the army after war → Category error | ❌ |
| 4 | Christophany Theory | ~25% | Melchizedek = Jesus Himself before the incarnation | Attributes "without beginning or end" are possible only for God | 17 text collisions detected: Self-reference contradiction (Heb 7:3), "another" impossible (Heb 7:15), self-tithe (Heb 7:9-10), self-contradiction within the same chapter (Heb 7:6 vs 7:14), etc. | ❌ |
| 5 | Son of the First World Theory (BVCAP 2.0) | 🆕 | Melchizedek = An unfallen being among the sons of God (Job 38:7) of the first world before Gen 1:2 | Job 38:7, Heb 7:3, Heb 7:8, Isa 14, Ezek 28 | 0 text collisions — No parents ✅ No genealogy ✅ No beginning/end ✅ Still living today ✅ King + Priest ✅ Separate being from Jesus ✅ | ✅ |
Conclusion Preview: Interpretations 1 to 4 each have points of collision with the text of Hebrews, and only Interpretation 5 (Son of the First World Theory) simultaneously satisfies all the conditions of Hebrews 7. Below, we verify each interpretation in detail.
📜 The Core Texts for Forensic Analysis — The Full Text of Hebrews (KJV)
Hebrews 5:6 (Declaration of the Order of Melchizedek)
Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 5:10 (Christ's Title as High Priest)
Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 5:11-14 (Melchizedek is 'Strong Meat' — Paul's Warning)
5:11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews 7:1-4 (The Identity of Melchizedek — The Most Important Verses)
7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
7:4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
Hebrews 7:6 (He Whose Descent is Not Counted)
But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
Hebrews 7:8 (Men That Die vs He Of Whom It Is Witnessed That He Liveth)
And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
Hebrews 7:15-17 (Another Priest — Decisive Evidence of Distinction)
7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
7:16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 1:14 (Definition of General Angels — For Comparative Reference)
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
🔍 Verification of Existing Mainstream Interpretations
As a result of the BVCAP engine scanning 3 existing mainstream interpretations of Melchizedek, collisions with the text were detected in each interpretation.
❌ 1. Absence of Record Theory (Historical Human Typology) — Textually Incompatible
- Claim: The record "without father, without mother, without descent" in Heb 7:3 does not mean he genuinely has no parents, but is merely a literary metaphor meaning 'his record is omitted from the Bible'.
- Triggered Weapon [TYPE-AL Detection of Semantic Ambiguity — The Error of "Double Standard (Hypocritical) Interpretation"]: The Absence of Record theory explains the statement in Heb 7:3 "without descent, neither having beginning of days, nor end of life" as "In reality, he had them all, but it was just 'not recorded' in the Bible (metaphorical)." According to them, Melchizedek must have been a really dead person 4,000 years ago, and his death was merely 'omitted from the biblical record'. However, the very next verse, Heb 7:8, declares that Melchizedek is "he of whom it is witnessed that he liveth (one who is actually alive)." They diminish the phrase "end of life" to mean "merely unrecorded (metaphorical)", but fall into contradiction in the face of the fact that "he is actually still alive now." This is a double-standard fallacy that twists the standard of interpretation to their own taste.
📊 Absence of Record Theory vs BVCAP (Model 5) — Decisive Differences by Item
| Item | Absence of Record Theory (Human Typology) | BVCAP Model 5 (Son of the First World) |
|---|---|---|
| Was Melchizedek real? | ✅ Real person | ✅ Real being |
| Typology of Christ? | ✅ Typology (Shadow) | ✅ Original (Pattern) |
| "Without parents" | ❌ "Merely not recorded in Genesis" — In reality, he had parents | ✅ Literally without parents — A directly created being |
| "Neither beginning nor end" | ❌ "Merely unrecorded" — In reality, he was born and died | ✅ Literally living forever (Confirmed by Heb 7:8) |
| Identity of Melchizedek | Ordinary Canaanite human king | Son of God from the first world (Job 38:7) |
| Interpretation of Heb 7:3 | Figurative | Literal |
| Heb 7:8 "liveth" | ⚠️ Cannot explain — If human, he should already be dead | ✅ Perfectly aligns — Still alive now because he is an eternal being |
⚠️ Core Difference: On the surface, they seem the same in saying "Real + Typology," but the Absence of Record theory reads Heb 7:3 "figuratively," while BVCAP reads it "literally." Heb 7:8 ("he of whom it is witnessed that he liveth") completely demolishes the figurative interpretation.
❌ 2. The Shem Theory (Son of Noah) — Textually Incompatible
Claim: Chronologically according to Genesis 11, Shem survived until the time of Abraham, so the traditional rabbinic interpretation is that Shem, the greatest elder of that time, is Melchizedek. (Also favored by historical reformers like Martin Luther and Melanchthon)
🔍 ① Core Basis and Argument Method of Shem Theory Supporters
Chronological Overlap: According to the genealogy in Genesis 11 (Masoretic text basis), Shem was born 98 years before the flood and lived a total of 600 years. Since Abraham was born 292 years after the flood, Shem survived for another 35 years even after Abraham died. That is, it is chronologically perfectly possible for Shem to have been alive and residing in the land of Canaan during the war in Genesis 14.
Patriarchal Priesthood: As Noah's firstborn who directly inherited God's covenant after the great flood and the oldest spiritual elder of that era, the logic is that it is most natural in the spiritual hierarchy for him to act as the "priest of the most high God."
Explanation for Hebrews 7:3 "without father, without mother, without descent": They interpret Heb 7:3 not as a biological fact but as a 'literary/record-keeping convention (Silence of Scripture)'. They excuse it by saying, "Although Shem's parent (Noah) and genealogy are specified in Genesis 10-11, when he appears as Melchizedek in Genesis 14, his parents and genealogy are not mentioned and he appears suddenly, so the writer of Hebrews merely used that 'omission in the record' to typologically explain Jesus Christ's eternal priesthood."
💡 BVCAP Insight: The Shem theory is a perfect copy (twin theory) of the 'Absence of Record theory' The internal logic of the Shem theory shares the 100% exact same logical engine as the Absence of Record theory.
- Absence of Record Theory: "He's some Canaanite king, but only his genealogical record was omitted in the Bible."
- Shem Theory: "He's Shem, but his name tag was changed and his genealogical record was omitted only in Genesis 14." Both theories premise a figurative compromise that "In reality, his parents and genealogy clearly exist and he is historically already a dead person, but merely the record was omitted (absent) in the Bible." Therefore, the Shem theory also sinks completely in the face of the fact check of Heb 7:8 ("he of whom it is witnessed that he liveth"), which demolishes the Absence of Record theory. Since Shem is also a human who already died and was buried 4,000 years ago, he cannot satisfy the evidence of Hebrews that "he is actually still alive now."
📊 Logic Comparison of the Two Theories (Twin Theories)
Category ❌ 1. Absence of Record Theory ❌ 2. Shem Theory True Identity Unnamed human king of Canaanite territory Shem, son of Noah (Human) Trick (Engine) "He originally has a genealogy, but the Bible omitted the record" "Shem originally has a genealogy, but it was omitted in this scene" Crucial Breaking Point Heb 7:8 "he of whom it is witnessed that he liveth" (Actually alive now) Heb 7:8 "he of whom it is witnessed that he liveth" (Actually alive now)
📊 Shem Theory vs BVCAP (Model 5) — Decisive Differences by Item
| Item | Shem Theory (Son of Noah) | BVCAP Model 5 (Son of the First World) |
|---|---|---|
| Contemporaneous with Abraham | ✅ Chronologically possible to be alive | ✅ Exists contemporaneously because he is an eternal being |
| "Without father, without mother" | ❌ Has a clear father named Noah | ✅ Without parents because he is a direct creation |
| "Without descent (genealogy)" | ❌ Clear genealogy recorded in Gen 10, 11 | ✅ No genealogy because he was not born |
| "Having neither beginning of days, nor end of life" | ❌ Has a day of birth and a day of death (600 years old) | ✅ No beginning/end because he is an eternal ruler |
❌ 3. Eucharist Typology Theory — Textually Incompatible
Claim: The 'bread and wine' in Gen 14:18 is a sacrificial ritual prefiguring the New Testament Mass (Eucharist).
Triggered Weapon [TYPE-C Category Error Demolition — The error of "mistaking a snack for worship"]: The bread and wine brought by Melchizedek in Genesis 14 are not offerings to God. They are 'combat rations (physical supplies)' provided to Abraham's 318 men who returned exhausted after fighting a war. Interpreting this as a religious sacrificial ritual (cultic category) is a Category Error.
🍫 Everyday Analogy to Help Understanding (Confusing combat rations with communion)
- Soldiers, after completing grueling training, were so hungry and thirsty that they collapsed in front of a local store to rest.
- A local resident, feeling sorry for the soldiers, brought out a box of "Choco Pies and Coke" and distributed them, saying, "Eat this and regain your strength!" (A physical supply to resolve hunger)
- However, someone watching this from the side claims, "Look! Because he distributed bread (Choco Pie) and wine (Coke), that resident is currently conducting a holy 'church communion worship service'!"
- Conclusion: It is a category error that bizarrely misclassifies the "snack/combat rations" provided to fill the soldiers' stomachs as a religious "communion worship service".
🔍 ① Original Hebrew Analysis: "Bring forth" vs "Offer" (Yotze vs. Qarab/Olah)
The verb expression in Genesis 14:18 completely defeats the Catholic claim of "Sacrifice".
- Text Word: "brought forth" (Hebrew: יוֹצִיא, Yotze)
- Meaning: The Hiphil (causative) form of
יָצָא(Yatsa, to go out), simply meaning the spatial movement to "cause to go out", "bring out". He merely brought out stored food to serve the people.
- Meaning: The Hiphil (causative) form of
- Sacrificial Word: If this had been a ritualistic act of offering a sacrifice to God, the Bible should have used completely different verbs.
- Hebrew
קָרַב(Qarab, Hiphil form Hiqrib): To "bring near/offer" a sacrifice to the altar (KJV: offer/present). - Hebrew
עָลָה(Alah, Hiphil form He'elah): To "offer up" a sacrifice onto the altar (KJV: offer up).
- Hebrew
- 💥 Dismissal Verdict: The direction of Melchizedek's action was not 'Offered up' toward God, but 'Brought forth' toward Abraham's exhausted men. Also, there is not a single ritualistic word like altar (Mizbeach) or sacrifice (Zebach) in the text.
🌾 ② Historical/Cultural Background: The custom of nutritional supply and hospitality in the Ancient Near East
Throughout the Bible, supplying "bread and wine/water" to weary returning soldiers or those fleeing as refugees was not a religious ritual, but physical supply and hospitality for survival.
- Deuteronomy 23:4 & Nehemiah 13:2 (Curse of Moab and Ammon): When Israel was exhausted from their wilderness march, Moab and Ammon were cursed forever because they did not meet them with "bread and water". (Serving bread and water was a basic supply and hospitality duty in the Ancient Near East.)
- 2 Samuel 16:2 (Fatigue recovery for David's army): When David was fleeing, "bread and wine" were provided for his exhausted army. The Bible clearly records its purpose: "that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink."
- Judges 8:5 (Gideon's army's request for survival): Gideon, while pursuing the enemy, directly requested the men of Succoth to give him "loaves of bread" to save his men who were faint.
📊 Eucharist Typology Theory vs BVCAP (Model 5) — Decisive Differences by Item
| Item | Eucharist Typology Theory | BVCAP Model 5 (Son of the First World) |
|---|---|---|
| Meaning of bread and wine | ❌ Typological sacrificial ritual of Mass/Eucharist | ✅ Physical supplies for fatigue recovery after war |
| Melchizedek's priesthood | Basis for Catholic priest | Eternal priesthood directly established by God (Before the tribe of Levi) |
| Succession of priesthood | Catholic priests succeed the order of Melchizedek | Only Jesus Christ is the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Heb 5:10) |
| Interpretation of Heb 7:3 | Literary rhetoric (Human king) | Literal fact (Son of God from the first world) |
❌ 4. Christophany Theory (Pre-incarnate Christ) — Textually Incompatible
- Claim: Since a human cannot be without parents and genealogy, Melchizedek is Jesus Christ Himself appearing in the Old Testament before His incarnation.
- Triggered Weapon [TYPE-AC Counterfactual Contradiction Verification & TYPE-G Original Text Grammar]:
① Genealogy Contradiction — If Melchizedek is Jesus, the Davidic Covenant collapses
Melchizedek is "without descent." However, Jesus must be born of the lineage of David. If Melchizedek = Jesus, the Bible itself is declaring Jesus as "without descent."
Heb 7:3 — "Without father, without mother, without descent..."
Matt 1:1 — "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham."
2 Sam 7:12-13 — "I will set up thy seed after thee... and I will establish his kingdom." → The Messiah must be born of the lineage (genealogy) of David.
💥 Conflict: "Melchizedek without descent" = "Jesus whose genealogy is essential" → Complete collapse of the Davidic Covenant (2 Sam 7)
② Parent Contradiction — Melchizedek has no mother, but Jesus was made of a woman
Heb 7:3 — "Without father, without mother..."
Gal 4:4 — "God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law."
Rom 1:3 — "...concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh."
💥 Conflict: Melchizedek "without mother" / Jesus "made of a woman" → Impossible to be the same person
③ Grammatical Destruction of "made like unto" — One cannot be like oneself
Heb 7:3 — "...but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually."
If Melchizedek were Jesus (the Son of God) Himself, this sentence becomes a perfect self-reference paradox: "Jesus was made like unto Jesus." It is logically impossible for A to be "made like unto" A. "Made like unto" is a grammar that only works on the premise that the two beings are different.
💥 Conflict: "like unto" = Direct grammatical evidence that it is not the person Himself
④ Logical Destruction of "another" — One cannot be "another" version of oneself
Heb 7:15 — "And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest."
Heb 5:10 — "Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec."
If Melchizedek were Jesus Himself, Heb 7:15 would become "after the similitude of Jesus there ariseth another Jesus." "Another" is a word that can only be used when the two are necessarily different beings. Also, in Heb 5:10 He is called "an high priest after the order of Melchisedec", and if one follows one's own order, it is a circular reference.
💥 Conflict: "Another" + "after the order of" = Definitive grammatical and logical evidence that the two beings are separate
⑤ John 8:56 — Auxiliary Argument (Reference) ⚠️
John 8:56 — "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad."
If Abraham had already met Melchizedek (=Jesus) face-to-face in Gen 14, "rejoiced to see my day" would be awkward as it is an expression of expectation for something not yet seen.
🔬 STRESS-TEST-7: Simulation of the Enemy's Strongest Counter-attack
Enemy's Counter-attack: "Abraham meeting the pre-incarnate Christ (Melchizedek) in Gen 14 and 'my day' in John 8:56 are different events. 'My day' points to the day of the cross/resurrection/incarnation. Abraham had already met Melchizedek, but after that meeting, he came to expect the future 'day of incarnation' even more. Meeting and expectation are compatible."
| STRESS-TEST Item | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Is the enemy's counter-attack logically valid? | ✅ Valid — "Meeting" and "future expectation" are compatible |
| Can this counter-attack be defeated textually? | ❌ Impossible — John 8:56 does not explicitly state "Abraham never met" |
| Can it reach IRONCLAD status? | ❌ Impossible — Room for interpretation remains open |
⚠️ Verdict: Retain as Auxiliary Argument (Failed to upgrade to IRONCLAD)
John 8:56 is valid as circumstantial evidence raising doubt against the Christophany theory, but it is not hard evidence capable of rendering a rejection verdict on its own. Since Christophany is already completely rejected solely by the 4-fold arguments ①~④, this argument is preserved for reference.
⑥ Self-Tithing Paradox — Jesus in Abraham's loins pays tithes to Himself ⭐
Heb 7:9-10 (KJV) — "And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him."
Gal 3:16 (KJV) — "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made... which is Christ."
The logic of Hebrews: Because Levi was in the loins of Abraham, when Abraham paid tithes, Levi paid with him → Therefore Melchizedek > Levi.
However, Jesus is also the seed of Abraham (Gal 3:16) and the son of Abraham (Matt 1:1). Applying the same "loins" logic of Hebrews, Jesus (in His humanity) was also in the loins of Abraham.
If Melchizedek = Jesus:
- Jesus, who was in Abraham's loins → paid tithes to Jesus (Melchizedek) standing before Abraham.
- Heb 7:7 "without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better" → Jesus becomes less than Himself and blesses Himself.
💥 Conflict: If the very "loins" logic used by Hebrews 7 to prove "Levi < Melchizedek" is applied identically to Jesus, it becomes a self-reference paradox of Him paying tithes to Himself and Him blessing Himself. To avoid this paradox, Jesus must be excluded from the "loins" logic, but then the entire argumentative structure of Hebrews 7 collapses.
⑦ Premillennial Paradox — Already ruled an earthly kingdom before the Second Coming?
Gen 14:18 (KJV) — "And Melchizedek king of Salem..."
John 18:36 (KJV) — "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world..."
The core of Dispensational Premillennialism: Christ's actual physical rule over a kingdom on this earth is the first and only time during the Millennial Kingdom after the Second Coming.
However, Melchizedek is the "king of Salem." Salem is not a spiritual heaven but an actual city in the land of Canaan that later became Jerusalem. If Melchizedek = Jesus, Jesus already possessed territory and physically ruled on this earth 2,000 years before His First Coming.
💥 Conflict: If we apply a "literal interpretation" → The king of Salem is an actual earthly ruler → Tension arises with Premillennialism. If we pass it off as a "spiritual/figurative interpretation" → Tension arises with the principle of literalism. In either direction, a re-examination of consistency with its own doctrine is necessary.
⑧ Incarnation Paradox — Already lived as a 'Man' before Mary?
Heb 7:4 (KJV) — "Now consider how great this man was..."
A Theophany in the Old Testament is a spiritual manifestation appearing temporarily in the form of a man and then disappearing. However, Melchizedek actually existed in history as the actual king of the city of Salem, receiving tithes and ruling territory. This is not a "manifestation that briefly appeared and disappeared."
If Melchizedek = Jesus, it leads to the conclusion that Jesus already existed on earth as a king clad in a complete "Man" body 2,000 years before the incarnation through Mary (Gal 4:4).
💥 Conflict: A re-examination of the historical uniqueness of the incarnation is inevitable, facing the theological dilemma of the "Pre-existence of Christ's humanity". ※ Note: There are cases where angels are called "men" (Gen 19:5, Dan 9:21), but there is nowhere in the Bible a "temporary manifestation" that permanently rules territory and receives tithes.
⑨ Chronological Oath Paradox of Psalm 110:4 — Swearing to do what is already being done?
Ps 110:4 (KJV) — *"The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."*
Heb 7:21 (KJV) — "...The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."
The subject to whom God declared this oath is the Messiah (Christ). If Melchizedek = Jesus:
- Jesus was already serving as a priest as Melchizedek in Genesis 14.
- But arriving at the time of David (Psalm 110), God anew swears, "Thou art a priest after the order of Melchisedec."
- Swearing to someone who is already doing that job, "You will follow your own order," is a tautology akin to "You will be yourself."
💥 Conflict: For this oath to have meaning, it is only possible when Melchizedek and Christ are two separate, distinct persons who existed in different times and spaces. "Swearing to someone who is already Melchizedek that he will become Melchizedek" is a chronological and logical self-contradiction.
⑩ Witness Paradox — Why does "he of whom it is witnessed that he liveth" need a witness?
Heb 7:8 (KJV) — "...but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth." "of whom it is witnessed that he liveth."
"it is witnessed" — This is a passive structure where a third party proves about the object, "this being is alive."
If Melchizedek = Jesus, the fact that Jesus is alive is a self-evident fact that He Himself proclaims, "I am he that liveth" (Rev 1:18), not something that requires receiving "testimony (certification) of being alive" from the outside. For this expression to be natural, Melchizedek must be a separate created being, not Jesus, and the Bible (the record of Heb 7:3) officially testifies about him that "he is still alive now."
💥 Clash: To express that the Son of God, who exists by Himself and is the source of life, "is witnessed (certified)" by someone that He lives is a severe ontological downgrade (lowering Jesus to the level of a creature).
🦁 Everyday example for understanding (President's survival confirmation vs Rare animal's survival certificate)
- In the case of a president: When the president, the highest authority in the nation, enters his office, he does not need to be issued a 'survival guarantee' by a subordinate or guard saying, "I guarantee that this person is the president and is currently a living person." Because the president's existence and authority are self-proving. If it is said that the president needs a survival confirmation from a subordinate, it degrades the president's authority.
- In the case of a rare animal: On the other hand, if a rare animal thought to be extinct (e.g., coelacanth) is discovered, people doubt if it is really alive. At this time, academia or experts must issue a 'survival certificate (evidence)' saying, "it is witnessed that it liveth."
- Conclusion: Because Melchizedek is a unique creaturely being, a son of God of the first world, the Bible guarantees (witnesses) from a third party's perspective that "this being is really alive even now (unlike the Aaronic priests who died)." If Melchizedek is Jesus (the Creator), it falls into the bizarre contradiction (ontological downgrade) that God, the King of the entire universe, must be issued a 'survival certificate' stating "it is confirmed that He is alive" from a creature or a document.
⑪ Internal Self-Contradiction in Hebrews Chapter 7 — "whose descent is not counted from them" vs "sprang out of Juda" (Same-Chapter Paradox) ⭐
Heb 7:6 (KJV) — "But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham..."
Heb 7:14 (KJV) — "For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda..."
The "them" in Heb 7:6 refers to the descendants of Levi / the nation of Israel. It means Melchizedek's descent is a being outside the Israelite system. However, within the same Hebrews Chapter 7, v.14 specifies that Jesus sprang out of the tribe of Juda.
💥 Clash: Within the same chapter — Melchizedek = Outside Israel / Jesus = Tribe of Juda → If they are the same person, it is a self-contradiction with an 8-verse difference
⑫ Forerunner Circularity — Jesus enters His own order as a "forerunner"? (Forerunner Paradox)
Heb 6:20 (KJV) — "Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."
"forerunner" = One who opens the way ahead. It only stands if there is someone to follow. "made" = Becoming something new that wasn't there before.
If Melchizedek = Jesus, it becomes a logical circularity where the one who is already performing the priesthood as Melchizedek enters His own order as a "forerunner," and what was already done is expressed as having been "made".
💥 Clash: "forerunner" + "made" = Cannot be applied to one who already exists
⑬ Premise of Calling — "Glorified not himself" (Calling Paradox)
Heb 5:4-5 (KJV) — "And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God... So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest..."
Paul's logic: The office of high priest is not taken by oneself, but one must be called of God. Christ also was appointed by God the Father.
If Melchizedek = Jesus, Jesus was already exercising the priesthood by Himself in the time of Abraham. But Heb 5:5 says, "glorified not himself to be made an high priest, but He that appointed Him." Then who appointed Melchizedek (=Jesus) as priest in the time of Abraham? There is no such record in the Bible.
💥 Clash: "Calling" = Temporal premise that the office did not exist before. If He was already a priest, "calling" is unnecessary
⑭ Analysis of Blessing Speech-Act — Melchizedek praises God in the 3rd person (Blessing Speech-Act)
Gen 14:19-20 (KJV) — "Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand."
Melchizedek performs the blessing as a mediator (priest) between God and Abram. He praises "the most high God" from a 3rd party position.
If Melchizedek = Jesus (Son of God), it means Jesus is saying "blessed be the most high God" from a 3rd party perspective about Himself (God).
💥 Clash: The act itself of praising God from an outsider's perspective shows that Melchizedek is an independent priest, not the Son of God
⑮ Singularity of "the days of his flesh" — If He was already flesh in the time of Melchizedek, is it twice? (Days of Flesh Paradox)
Heb 5:7 (KJV) — "Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears..."
"the days of his flesh" — Definite article + possessive + delimited plural. This is a singular expression indicating a specific single period (from birth through Mary to the cross).
If Melchizedek = Jesus, since He was already called "this man" in Heb 7:4 and operated as a physical being, Jesus would have two "days of his flesh".
💥 Clash: "the days of his flesh" = The only single period. If twice, it would require "days of his fleshes" or a plural expression
⑯ Temporal Paradox of "Rise" — One who already exists cannot "rise" (Rise Paradox)
Heb 7:11 (KJV) — "...what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec?"
"should rise" = Transition from absence to presence. "Need to rise" is impossible to apply to one who already exists. Also, Paul's logic is: Because the Levitical priesthood was imperfect, this "rising" was needed. If Melchizedek = Jesus, Jesus existed before the Levitical priesthood, so the chronological order that He needed to rise "because" of Levi's failure is reversed.
💥 Clash: "rise" + "need" = Presupposes the new appearance of something not yet present. Cannot be applied to one who already existed
⑰ Timeline of the Oath After the Law — If He was already a priest, why appoint Him again after the law? (Post-Law Oath Paradox) ⭐
Heb 7:28 (KJV) — "For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore."
Paul's timeline: ① Law → high priests with infirmity ② Oath since the law (Psalm 110:4) → maketh the Son a high priest for evermore.
If Melchizedek = Jesus, Jesus was already a priest as Melchizedek before the law (time of Abraham). But Heb 7:28 says the oath that makes the Son is "since the law". To appoint again later by an oath what He was already doing is a chronological reversal.
💥 Clash: Melchizedek (before law) → Law → Oath (after law). If Melchizedek = Jesus, the order becomes ① → ② → ①, collapsing the time axis
🧠 Analysis of Theological Blind Spots Regarding Core Contradictions
The fact that IFB and dispensationalist pastors have supported the Christophany theory is the result of deep respect for and earnest inquiry into the Bible. However, the crossing clash points below seem to be areas that have not yet been internally reviewed. This is not a criticism, but a point worth examining together:
Intersection of Earthly Kingship and Premillennialism (Item ⑦) — Area not yet connected
- Background: When preaching on Melchizedek, the title 'King of Salem' has largely been treated as a spiritual/typological concept: "Jesus, the King of peace."
- Point needing review: Applying 'literal biblical interpretation', 'Salem' in the time of Abraham is a physical city-state that existed in the land of Canaan. If Melchizedek = Jesus, a tension arises with the core premillennial doctrine that "Christ's earthly kingdom rule is first in the millennial kingdom after the Second Coming." It is noteworthy that these two doctrines have never yet been cross-verified.
Logical Questions of 'Self-Tithe' and 'Self-Blessing' (Item ⑥) — Questions not yet raised
- Background: When reading Hebrews Chapter 7, attention naturally focuses on the primary argument of the author of Hebrews: "Melchizedek is superior to the tribe of Levi (Aaronic order)."
- Point needing review: Applying the exact logic that "Levi was in the loins of Abraham, so it counts as him paying tithes," the question naturally follows: "What about Jesus, who was also exactly in the loins of Abraham in the flesh?" This question has not yet been earnestly dealt with either within the IFB or mainstream theology.
Implications of the Designation "Man" Prior to the Incarnation (Item ⑧) — An Area Not Yet Deeply Covered
- Background: To Independent Baptist pastors who believe every single word of the KJV is the inerrant word preserved by God, the fact that the Bible calls Melchizedek "this man" (Heb 7:4) is an absolute fact.
- Points Needing Review: Christophanies in the Old Testament (the Angel of the LORD, etc.) have been explained as "temporary events where He briefly appeared in human form to deliver a message and then disappeared." However, Melchizedek is a 'man' who ruled a territory, received tithes, and lived as an actual king in history. If Melchizedek is Jesus, the relationship between the once-for-all nature of the incarnation and Christological doctrine needs to be re-examined.
💡 Conclusion: Cross-Collisions Occurring Within Their Doctrinal System The core reason they have missed these contradictions is that they were trapped in the preconception that "Melchizedek must naturally be Jesus," and thus never cross-verified whether this collides with other doctrines they hold (Premillennialism, the doctrine of the Incarnation, KJV literalism). Therefore, these arguments are not shallow puzzles at a level they already know, but cross-collisions occurring within their own theological system. If they review these arguments together, they might seriously reconsider the existing 'Christophany theory' and consider the biblical model of 'the son of God of the first world' in order to protect their own dispensationalism and KJV literalism.
📋 Note: Actual Perceptions Inside Supporters of the Christophany Theory (IFB, etc.)
The Christophany theory is not unanimous even within the IFB camp. While some hardliners like Peter Ruckman strongly assert it, many IFB pastors internally recognize the problem of "made like unto the Son of God" in Heb 7:3 and the problem of "another" priest in Heb 7:15.
In reality, the position of many IFB pastors is not a strong conviction but closer to a passive preference: "It might not be a perfect interpretation, but since Melchizedek's attributes (having neither beginning nor end) apply only to God, it is highly likely that he is Christ." This relies on the process of elimination (since there is no other explanation, let's see him as Christ). When Model 5 (the son of God of the first world) is presented through BVCAP's Rejection of Competing Models (TYPE-E), the very premise of that process of elimination collapses.
✅ 5. The Son of the First World Theory — An Interpretation Based on Biblical Records (BVCAP 2.0)
After confirming the points where the above four interpretations collide with the text, finding an interpretation that simultaneously satisfies all the conditions of Hebrews 7 is as follows.
Direct Creation of the First World (The sons of God prior to Gen 1:2)
- The "sons of God" in Job 38:7 are spiritual/physical rulers who existed prior to the creation of Adam (when the foundations of the earth were laid).
- Because they were not born through humans (women), they are "without father, without mother," and because they were not born, they are "without descent."
- Because they are eternal beings, they have neither beginning nor end.
- King and Priest of Salem: Unlike the fallen sons (angels), Melchizedek is the only being who, as a holy son standing on God's side without falling, has maintained his position (archē) as priest of the most high God and king since the first world.

Heb 1:14 (KJV) — Evidence that regular angels are 'servants', not 'kings' (Melchizedek ≠ Angel) Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister...? → Since angels do not have kingship (archē), Melchizedek, who is the king and priest of Salem, does not fall into the category of angels.

🔍 Comparison Table of Competing Models
| # | Model | Collisions with the Text | Supporting Verses |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Christophany Theory | The self-referential problem of "like unto" + mismatch of exclusive attributes + "another" structure | Heb 7:3, 7:15, Matt 1:1, Gal 4:4 |
| 2 | Shem, Son of Noah | Shem has a clear genealogy → Directly contradicts "without descent" | Gen 10:1, 11:10 |
| 3 | Angel | Angel = ministering spirit/servant (Heb 1:14) → No kingship and priesthood. ※ Angels are also called "men" (Gen 19:5, Dan 9:21) — "this man" alone is insufficient for rejection, but the absence of the offices of king+priest is the core basis for rejection | Heb 1:14, Gen 19:1-5 |
| 4 | Native Canaanite King | "Priest of the most high God" = Different category from pagan priests | Gen 14:18 |
| 5 | Son of God of the first world | No contradictions — Satisfies all conditions of Heb 7:3 | Job 38:7, Heb 7:3, 7:8 |
Conclusion: Models 1-4 collide with the text. Only Model 5 perfectly matches all verses → Confirmed as IRONCLAD.
🔥 Core Evidence: Melchizedek is the Living Evidence that the "Sons of God" Existed
The very existence of Melchizedek is the Physical Evidence within the Bible proving that the category of beings called the "sons of God" actually existed.
Argument Structure:
- Melchizedek is a real person existing in the Bible (Gen 14:18, Heb 7:1). This cannot be denied.
- He is not a human — Heb 7:8 "of whom it is witnessed that he liveth." If human, he should have died 4,000 years ago. He is still alive.
- He is not Jesus — Confirmed by 17 textual collisions in this report.
- He is not an angel — Heb 1:14 Angels are "ministering spirits (servants)," not kings and priests.
- Then what is he?
No parents + no genealogy + no beginning + no end + still alive + king + priest + "made like unto the Son of God"
The only category of being that simultaneously satisfies all these conditions is just one — the "sons of God" of Job 38:7.
Job 38:4, 7 (KJV) — "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?... When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"
The debate over whether the "sons of God" actually existed has always run into the objection: "They only appear once in Job 38:7, so isn't their identity lacking substance?"
Melchizedek is that very substance.
| Declaration in Job 38:7 | Physical Evidence in Hebrews 7 |
|---|---|
| "The sons of God existed" | "This man (Melchizedek) has no parents, no genealogy, and no beginning or end" (Heb 7:3) |
| Declaration of the category of being | Presentation of a real person belonging to that category |
| Testimony of the past | Evidence of the present — "of whom it is witnessed that he liveth" (Heb 7:8) |
📌 Melchizedek is a Living Fossil of the "sons of God." Job 38:7 declared the category of their existence, and Hebrews 7 submitted a real person belonging to that category into history. The testimony of Heb 7:8 that Melchizedek is alive even at this moment is not simply a personal characteristic of Melchizedek, but evidence that the entire category of beings called the "sons of God" existed and still exists.
💬 If This Conclusion Feels Unfamiliar — Paul's Declaration of "Strong Meat"
This conclusion may feel unfamiliar to those hearing it for the first time. However, Paul himself anticipated this reaction and recorded it directly in the text:
Expected Reaction: "I've never heard of such an interpretation... Is it really true?"
This is a natural reaction. But Paul already answered this reaction by recording it directly in the text 2,000 years ago.
📖 Paul's Warning (Heb 5:11-14)
Heb 5:11 — *"Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing."*
Heb 5:12 — "...ye have need of milk, and not of strong meat."
Heb 5:14 — "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age..." "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
🔍 Precise Analysis: Where lies the cause of it being "hard to be uttered"?
| Hypothesis | Meaning | Aligns with Paul's Text? |
|---|---|---|
| A. It is hard because there are contradictions in the content | The Melchizedek doctrine itself is logically twisted | ❌ Paul never mentions a flaw in the content |
| B. The content is perfect but hard to be uttered because it's difficult to accept | The truth itself is flawless, but the receiving side lacks capacity | ✅ "ye are dull" — attributes the cause to the audience |
Verification Conclusion: There is no contradiction in the truth of Melchizedek. It is "strong meat" not because of logical flaws in the content, but because the weight of the truth (magnitude of the shock) exceeds the acceptance capacity of the immature audience.
💬 Paul's Answer
If the conclusion about Melchizedek's identity feels unfamiliar, that is a natural reaction. However, Paul himself anticipated this reaction by declaring this truth as "strong meat" in Heb 5:11.
What matters is not emotion but the text. If this conclusion is textually wrong, please refute it with specific verses. If you only have a feeling of unfamiliarity, it might be the process of growing towards being of "full age" that Paul spoke of.
⚖️ Final Conclusion
The interpretation viewing Melchizedek as a mere human king conflicts with Heb 7:8 ("he liveth"), and the interpretation viewing him as Jesus Christ Himself is incompatible with the grammatical structure of Hebrews, "made like unto the Son of God" and "another priest."
As a result of BVCAP cross-verification, only when Melchizedek is understood as 'one of the holy sons of God directly created in the first world before Genesis 1:2' are all the conditions of Hebrews 7 (without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, abideth a priest continually) simultaneously fulfilled. Jesus came as the great high priest after the order (archetype) of this eternal Melchizedek.
Conclusion: Melchizedek = a holy 'son of God' of the first world (not Jesus Himself).
❓ Anticipated Objections and Answers
"Does it make sense for the Creator to succeed the priesthood of a creature?"
This question is natural and valid. If Melchizedek is a being created by God (a son of the first world), how can Jesus, the Creator, follow the order (lineage) of a creature?
📖 Answer: It is the exact same parallel structure as the "son of David"
Matt 1:1 (KJV) — "...Jesus Christ, the son of David..."
Rev 22:16 (KJV) — "I am the root and the offspring of David..."
David is a creature (human). Yet Jesus, the Creator, called Himself the "son of David." No one calls this a contradiction — because while Jesus inherited David's kingship (throne), He is infinitely greater than David.
The priesthood of Melchizedek is the exact same structure:
| Parallel Structure | Creature | Relationship of Jesus | What was Inherited |
|---|---|---|---|
| Son of David | David (Human) | "son of David" (Matt 1:1) | Throne (Kingship) |
| Order of Melchizedek | Melchizedek (Son of the first world) | "priest after the order of Melchizedek" (Heb 5:6) | Priesthood |
Just as inheriting David's throne does not make Jesus lesser than David, inheriting Melchizedek's priesthood does not make Jesus lesser than Melchizedek. The Creator eternally completing the throne and priesthood established by a creature — this is the pattern of the Bible.
🔁 Objection B: Typology — "Melchizedek is not the same person as Jesus but a being who typifies Him"
Content of Objection: Just as Phinehas is a priest of the line of Aaron but Phinehas ≠ Aaron, Melchizedek (type) ≠ Jesus (antitype). Melchizedek is merely a figure who typifies Jesus Christ.
📌 Check first: This position partially agrees with BVCAP Model 5 in that it rejects "Melchizedek = Jesus" (Christophany doctrine, Model 4). The core conclusion that the two are separate beings is shared.
⚠️ However, a question that Typology alone cannot resolve
"What is his role (type)" and "what is his essence (nature)" are different questions. Typology explains the role but cannot define the essence.
Heb 7:8 — A typical figure cannot be living
Heb 7:8 (KJV) — "And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth."
Phinehas died. Isaac also died. A typical figure inevitably dies. But Heb 7:8 testifies in the present tense that Melchizedek currently lives (he liveth).
| Typical Figure | Current State | Application of Heb 7:8 |
|---|---|---|
| Phinehas (Type of Aaronic order) | Deceased | "here men that die" category |
| Isaac (Type of the cross) | Deceased | "here men that die" category |
| Melchizedek | "he liveth" | "there he receiveth" category — A category different from human types |
Conclusion: Typology can explain Melchizedek's role. However, it cannot explain his ontological category testified by "he liveth" in Heb 7:8. The question of this report is not "what is his role?" but "what is this being?"
🍞 Objection C: Bread and Wine — "It prefigures the gospel of grace"
Content of Objection: The scene of coming out to meet Abraham, who was returning victorious from battle, with bread and wine foreshadows the gospel of grace.
✅ Agree — But it is not a basis for the identity debate
This interpretation does not conflict with Model 5. Even if Melchizedek is a son of God of the first world, his act can prefigure the gospel. Because a type is established regardless of the nature of the typical figure.
| Typical Figure | Typical Content | Nature of Typical Figure |
|---|---|---|
| Isaac | Cross of Jesus (Gen 22) | Human |
| Passover Lamb | Blood of Jesus | Animal |
| Melchizedek's bread and wine | Gospel of grace (claim) | Nature = Requires separate argument |
📖 Additional Text Verification (TYPE-T: Precise Lexical Analysis)
Let's check the actual KJV text of Gen 14:18:
Gen 14:18 (KJV) — "And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God."
What words are used, and what words are not used to describe this scene in the KJV original text?
| Category | Word | Used? |
|---|---|---|
| Used | brought forth |
✅ |
| Used | bread and wine |
✅ |
| Not used | brake bread (expression for the Eucharist) |
❌ |
| Not used | sacrifice / offering |
❌ |
| Not used | altar |
❌ |
In the New Testament, scenes instituting the Eucharist (Matt 26:26, 1 Cor 11:24) invariably use the specific verb "brake (broke) bread". This expression is not in Gen 14:18. Equating the act of supplying food to an army returning from war with a theological ritual requires premises beyond the text.
🏺 Ancient Near East Cultural Context — Bread and wine are typical food for victory celebration hospitality
In the Ancient Near East culture, going out to meet a warrior returning from victory with bread and wine was not a ritualistic act but a general custom of welcome and supply. This repeatedly appears within the Bible as well:
| Verse | Situation | Provision | Religious Ritual? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gen 18:1-8 | Abraham hosts three visitors (angels) | Bread, butter, milk, calf | ❌ Pure hospitality |
| 1 Sam 25:18 | Abigail hosts David's army | Bread, wine, raisins, figs, etc. | ❌ Reconciliation/Supply |
| 2 Sam 16:1-2 | Ziba welcomes David | Bread, wine, summer fruits | ❌ Hospitality/Supply |
| Judg 19:19 | Levite's travel provisions | Bread, wine | ❌ Daily food |
| Gen 14:18 | Melchizedek meets Abraham | Bread, wine | ❓ Religious ritual? |
The same structure of hospitality appears in Genesis 18 where Abraham hosted the three angels. Yet no one interprets the butter and milk of Genesis 18 as a prefiguration of a sacrament. The bread and wine of Genesis 14 must also be read in the same cultural context.
⛪ Relationship with Catholic Doctrine — The very doctrine that IFB already opposes
The Catholic Church uses the bread and wine of Gen 14:18 as a prefiguration of the Mass:
Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 1544): Describes Melchizedek as "a priest who offered bread and wine," claiming this is a prefiguration of the Eucharist.
Roman Missal (Roman Canon, EP I): "...the bread and wine offered by your priest Melchizedek..." — Elevates Melchizedek's bread and wine to an "offering" and uses it as the basis for the Mass.
But how does the KJV Bible record it?
Gen 14:18 (KJV) — "brought forth bread and wine"
Catholics interpret brought forth as offered. The Protestant tradition, including the IFB, has criticized this interpretation as eisegesis (injecting doctrine beyond the text).
💥 Paradox: The argument "Bread and wine = prefiguration of the gospel / prefiguration of the Eucharist" is the exact interpretive structure the Catholic Church uses to justify the doctrine of the Mass. One of the reasons IFB pastors oppose the Catholic Eucharist is precisely that "there are no words of sacrifice/offering in Gen 14:18." If so, the same textual principle should apply here.
💡 BVCAP Principle: Meditating on spiritual meanings is completely free. However, establishing a doctrine based on "words not in the text" is a separate issue. Genesis 14:18 simply says
brought forth bread and wine.
Final Conclusion: The typological interpretation of bread and wine holds whether Melchizedek is a human, a son of God, or Jesus. Therefore, this interpretation does not serve as an independent basis for determining Melchizedek's identity. Furthermore, since Eucharist-related vocabulary (
brake bread, sacrifice, altar) is completely absent in the KJV original text, one must bring in premises from outside the text to use this as a doctrinal basis. The very textual principle the IFB uses when opposing the Catholic doctrine of the Mass applies equally here.
📖 Objection D: Luke 3 Genealogy — "It is a legal/documentary genealogy, not a fleshly lineage"
Counter-argument Content: The genealogy of 77 people in Luke 3, leading from God-Adam-...-Joseph-Jesus, is a legal documentary genealogy, not a lineage of the flesh. Jesus is the seed of the woman conceived by the Holy Spirit, Joseph is the adoptive father, and Mary is a virgin.
✅ Agreement — And this further strengthens BVCAP Model 5
This point is accurate, and it actually strengthens this report's argument regarding the parallel structure of "the Son of David."
| Genealogy/Title | Nature of Relationship | Title of Jesus |
|---|---|---|
| Matthew 1 (Abraham-David-Joseph) | Legal royal succession genealogy | "Son of David" |
| Luke 3 (God-Adam-Joseph) | Legal documentary genealogy | "Son of God" |
| Heb 5-7 (Order of Melchizedek) | Priesthood succession | "Priest after the order of Melchizedek" |
Just as Jesus legally became the "Son of David" even though He is not Joseph's physical child, Jesus can inherit the order of Melchizedek's priesthood even though He is not the "substance" of Melchizedek.
Conclusion: The principle of "legal genealogy" applies equally to the succession structure of Melchizedek's priesthood. Even if Jesus is not Melchizedek in the flesh, He legally inherited the order of that office. This perfectly matches the structure presented by Model 5.
🔑 Core Integrating Proposition:
Structure Creature What Was Inherited Nature of Relationship The throne of David David (human, creature) Jesus inherited legally Documentary genealogy (Matt 1) The priesthood of Melchizedek Melchizedek (creature) Jesus inherited legally Order (Heb 5-7) Whether it is a lineage of the flesh or a documentary genealogy — the structure of the Creator inheriting the office of a creature is identical. Just as the fact that David is a human does not collapse this structure, the fact that Melchizedek is a created being separate from Jesus does not collapse this structure either. This is the pattern of the Bible.
🏠 Counter-argument E: Earthly Residence Argument + Revisiting the Shem Theory — "The sons of God dwell in the third heaven, so Melchizedek on earth is a human"
Counter-argument Content: The primary residence of the sons of God is the third heaven, and since Melchizedek lived on earth as the king of Salem, he must be a human. Given the tent-priest association related to Noah's son Shem, there is a possibility it is Shem.
❌ Rebuttal 1 — "Residence does not determine essence" (TYPE-AC: Counterfactual Substitution)
There are explicitly recorded cases in the Bible where beings who are sons of God operated on earth:
Job 1:6-7 (KJV) — *"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? And Satan answered, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."*
Satan (originally a son of God, Ezek 28:14) walked the earth. Does that make Satan a human?
| Being | Original Category | Earthly Activity | Conclusion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Satan (Ezek 28:14) | Son of God | ✅ (Job 1:7) | Earthly activity ≠ Human |
| Angels (Heb 1:14) | Ministering spirits | ✅ (Gen 19) | Earthly manifestation ≠ Human |
| Melchizedek | ? | ✅ (Gen 14:18) | Earthly activity → Must be human? |
Earthly activity or residence does not determine the nature of a being.
💡 Additional Argument — The verb "came" in Job 1:6 actually proves it
Job 1:6 (KJV) — "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD..."
"The sons of God came before the Lord." Pay attention to this verb.
If the sons of God were already permanent residents of the third heaven, constantly within God's immediate presence, the expression "came" is unnecessary. The verb "came" premises that they were somewhere else and moved there.
| Interpretation | Meaning of the verb "came" |
|---|---|
| Theory of permanent residence in the 3rd heaven | "came" → Unnecessary expression (cannot "come" if already there) |
| Theory of mobile beings | "came" → Moved from somewhere else = Mobility confirmed ✅ |
💡 Conclusion: "Came" in Job 1:6 confirms that the sons of God are mobile beings. From the third heaven to earth, from earth to the third heaven — movement does not change their nature. The fact that Melchizedek was in Salem on earth does not prove that he is a human.
❌ Rebuttal 2 — The Shem theory is triply dismissed by Heb 7:3, Heb 7:8, and Gen 9:27
[2-1] Heb 7:3 — Direct collision with 4 requirements
The Shem theory was already judged as Model 2 (❌). Core collisions:
| Requirement of Heb 7:3 | Actual Biblical Record of Shem | Collision |
|---|---|---|
| Without father/mother | Noah + Naamah — Recorded in Gen 9:18 | ❌ |
| Without descent (genealogy) | Detailed genealogy in Gen 10:1, Gen 11:10-26 | ❌ |
| No beginning of days | "Shem was an hundred years old..." (Gen 11:10) — Birth record | ❌ |
| No end of life / He liveth (Heb 7:8) | Shem died — Chronology can be calculated | ❌ |
[2-2] Heb 7:8 — Shem theory dismissed by a single verse
Check the record of Shem's lifespan:
Gen 11:10-11 (KJV) — "Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood: And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters."
Shem lived 500 years and died after begetting Arphaxad. Now check Hebrews:
Heb 7:8 (KJV) — *"And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth."*
Melchizedek is living now (he liveth — present tense). Shem is dead.
With this one verse alone, the Shem theory cannot stand.
[2-3] Gen 9:27 — The "tents of Shem" argument is an inference, not an explicit textual statement
Gen 9:27 is cited as additional evidence for the Shem theory:
Gen 9:27 (KJV) — "God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant."
However, if we read this verse exactly as the text says:
| Analysis Item | Text Content |
|---|---|
| Subject | "he" = Japheth (Prophecy about Japheth's expansion in context) |
| Meaning of "tents of Shem" | Shem's dwelling realm/territory (Japheth will dwell there) |
| Mention of Priest | ❌ None |
| Mention of Melchizedek | ❌ None |
Gen 9:27 is a prophecy of Japheth's geographical expansion, not a direct statement that Shem is a priest. The connection of "tent → priesthood" is an inference, not an explicit statement of the text. To use this inferential connection as a doctrinal basis, one must bring in premises from outside the text.
"The association of tent and priest" may show an association of roles, but in the face of the 4 requirements of Heb 7:3 and the present tense testimony of Heb 7:8, the Shem theory cannot be maintained.
❌ Rebuttal 3 — The expression "man" does not determine the essence of a being (TYPE-AL: Semantic Ambiguity)
One of the core grounds for the claim that "Melchizedek must be seen as a human" is the expression in Hebrews 7:4:
Heb 7:4 (KJV) — "Now consider how great this man was..."
However, the Bible clearly uses the expression "man/men" even for non-human beings:
| Passage | Object | Actual Essence | Expression "man" |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gen 18:2 (KJV) | The three beings who visited Abraham | Angels (confirmed in Heb 13:2) | "three men" |
| Gen 19:5 (KJV) | The two angels in Sodom | Angels | "the men which came in to thee" |
| Dan 9:21 (KJV) | Angel Gabriel | Angel | "the man Gabriel" |
| Isa 14:16 (KJV) | Lucifer/Satan | Spiritual being (Ezek 28:14) | "Is this the man that made the earth to tremble?" |
| Heb 7:4 (KJV) | Melchizedek | ? | "how great this man was" |
Isa 14:16 (KJV) — "They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms?"
Satan was called "the man". But no one claims that Satan is a human. In the Bible, "man/men" is used as a comprehensive expression referring to a being with a visible form or a person, and it is not a technical term determining the nature of a being.
Conclusion: If "this man" in Heb 7:4 is evidence defining Melchizedek as a human, then "three men" in Gen 18:2 must be evidence defining angels as humans. However, Heb 13:2 directly confirms that those "men" are angels. The expression "man" itself does not define the essence of a being.
Final Conclusion: ① The fact that Melchizedek operated on earth does not prove he is a human (Job 1:6 mobility). ② The Shem theory is directly dismissed by the 4 requirements of Heb 7:3. ③ The expression "this man" (Heb 7:4) is also used for non-human beings (angels/Satan), so it cannot be the basis for defining essence. Only the direct declarations of Heb 7:3 and Heb 7:8 testify to Melchizedek's essence.
📖 God Accomplishes Together With His Sons
The way of God shown in the Bible is not that He does everything unilaterally alone, but that He accomplishes things together with His sons.
In the first world, God ruled the world together with the sons (Job 38:7), and Melchizedek was the being among those sons who did not fall but kept the holy priesthood. And in the second world (this world right now), God is calling new sons:
John 1:12 (KJV) — "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
John 1:13 (KJV) — "Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
Just as the sons of God in the first world (Job 38:7) were beings born directly of God without human birth, we now become His sons born not of blood or of the will of the flesh, but only of God. From beginning to end, both in the first world and in this world, God accomplishes His will together with His sons.
This is the message the secret of Melchizedek gives us. God is not one who operates everything dogmatically alone, but one who accomplishes His eternal plan together in relationship with the sons He created. Melchizedek's priesthood is the first evidence of that beautiful cooperation, and Jesus is the one who perfected that cooperation eternally.

🗂️ [For KJV Pastors] Core Research Index and Recommended Reading Order
— Biblical Apologetics on Genesis 6, Re-creation, and the First World —
This index is a 'persuasive and argumentative reading order' specifically organized for pastors in Independent Fundamental Baptist (IFB) churches and those who believe the KJV Bible is the absolutely infallible Word of God.
While respecting the excellent framework of traditional dispensational theology (Scofield, Larkin, etc.), we have rearranged the sequence into an optimal logical order tailored for pastors. This allows you to verify the deeper textual coherence testified by the original KJV text itself (especially the sequence of judgments in 2 Peter 2 and 3, and the physical contradictions of the angel theory in Genesis 6).
🧭 Part 1: Epistles and Macroscopic Framework (Read First)
This is the most intuitive and shocking approach for pastors accustomed to dispensational charts and timelines.
📌 1. Reply to the Pastor
- File:
Reply_to_Pastor_Genesis_6_Fallen_Angels.md - Summary: A formal greeting to pastors, explaining the necessity of strictly re-examining the 'Sons of God = Angels' theory of Genesis 6 using only the KJV text, rather than external literature (such as the Book of Enoch).
📌 2. IFB vs TSB — Full Comparison of Re-creation Flowcharts
- File:
REPORT_Flowchart_Comparison_IFB_vs_TheScriptureOrg.md - Summary: (★Highly Recommended) Contrasts the traditional IFB dispensational sequence of creation/judgment with our research flowchart across 15 events. By highlighting the three independent judgments specified in 2 Peter 2:4-6 and the distinction between two worlds in 2 Peter 3, this intuitive chart demonstrates the fatal self-contradiction in the traditional IFB timeline (which acknowledges the flood twice but incorrectly groups the judgments into a single event).
⚖️ Part 2: Biblical Dismissal of the 'Genesis 6 Angel Theory' (Core Forensic Verification)
Once you have confirmed the errors in the macroscopic framework through the flowchart, it is time for a forensic audit of the highly debated text of 'Genesis 6' itself.
📌 3. Final Dismissal of the Angel Theory — Cross-Verification + IRONCLAD Argument
- File:
REPORT_Genesis6_SonsOfGod_ArgumentVerification_Masterpiece.md - Summary: A Masterpiece ruling that proves how the claim that the 'Sons of God' in Genesis 6 are fallen angels perfectly collides with cross-references within the KJV Bible (such as the inability of angels to reproduce and the contradictions regarding the punishment of fallen angels).
📌 4-A. Childbirth Before Eating the Forbidden Fruit (Basics) — 9 Forensic Verifications Dismissing the Angel Theory
- File:
REPORT_Genesis_3_6_Sons_of_God.md - Summary: Covers 9 foundational legal principles proving the existence of childbirth prior to the forbidden fruit. This foundational document preemptively blocks any counterarguments through the separation of the Jude timeline, heterosis (hybrid vigor), the singularity of the Eden expulsion (Him), the anatomy of Romans 5:12, and Ezekiel 18:20 (prohibition of guilt by association and Achan's family).
📌 4-B. Childbirth Before Eating the Forbidden Fruit (Advanced) — The Law of Resurrection and the Seed War
- File:
REPORT_Children_Before_Tree_Of_Knowledge.md - Summary: Builds upon the basic document to deploy 6 new major arguments (the 120-year lifespan, the dust law of resurrection, the legal principle of 'His wife' in Gen 2:24, etc.). The latter half contains an advanced expansion document featuring the overwhelming 'Seed War Chronicle (12 Chapters)', spanning from Eden to the empty tomb of Jesus, and extending to the scene of His preaching to the spirits in hell.
📌 4-C. Contrary-to-Fact Conditional: Gen 3:20 "was" Debate (Verification of Pre-Fall Birth Theory)
- File:
Contrary_to_Fact_Conditional_Gen3_20_was_Pre_Fall_Birth_Theory.md - Summary: 🆕 A RETRIAL ruling deploying the new weapon TYPE-AC-λ Counterfactual Substitution (lexical substitution verification). Through an exhaustive survey of the Genesis naming formula (if the reason is future, future tense; if completed, perfect tense — 0 counterexamples) and the tense-separation anchor of Gen 2:23 ("shall be called ... because she was taken"), it exposes that the traditional interpretation (retrospective narrative theory) commits silent substitution (E-16) of the written "was" for an unwritten "shall be" — thus overturning the original ruling and confirming the Pre-Fall Birth Theory as IRONCLAD. (The original ruling record is preserved verbatim in Chapters 1-6)
📌 4-D. Transition Analysis of the Creation Archetype's Reproduction System and the Seed of Woman — Judicial Systematization
- File:
REPORT_Creation_Archetype_Reproduction_System_and_Seed_of_Woman_Transition_Analysis.md - Summary: Why did God create the woman from Adam's rib and place the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? An appendix document revealing the purpose of the woman's creation as a perfect 'Judicial Systematization' designed to prevent the recurrence of the cross-breeding (satyr) crimes committed by the angels of the first world.
🌌 Part 3: The First World and Melchizedek (Unlocking Deep Mysteries)
Once the enigma of Genesis 6 is resolved, the identities of the "morning stars" in Job 38 and "Melchisedec" in Hebrews finally fit together like pieces of a puzzle.
📌 5. Morning Stars Are Not Angels — Exhaustive KJV Usage + The Dust Law
- File:
REPORT_First_World_Nation.md - Summary: The "morning stars" of Job 38:7 are not angels. This proves that angels have never 'sang' in the Bible, and reveals the intelligent beings of the first world through the law of dust (earth).
📌 6. Who is Melchisedec? — Living Evidence of the "Morning Stars"
- File:
REPORT_Melchizedek_IdentityVerification_Masterpiece.md - Summary: Perfectly identifies the biblical identity of Melchisedec, King of Salem—a 'Man' without father, without mother, and without descent—from the perspective of the 'first world'.
📌 7. The Full Picture of the First World — The Big Picture
- File:
REPORT_Melchizedek_FirstWorld_NationFormation.md - Summary: A massive big picture integrating all previous arguments: Creation (Bara) vs. Making (Asah), the nations and kingdoms of the first world found in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28, and the three stages of light.
| Topic | Core Question |
|---|---|
| Re-creation (Gap Theory) | What happened between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2? Is "without form, and void" the original state or the result of judgment? |
| Creation (Bara) vs. Making (Asah/Yatsar) | How do we distinguish between what God directly created and what He delegated His sons to make? |
| Nations, Cities, and Kingdoms of the First World | Who are the peoples, cities, and kingdoms recorded in Isaiah 14:12-17 and Ezekiel 28:14-19? |
| Sons of God vs. Angels | Are the "sons of God" in Job 38:7 and the "ministering spirits (angels)" in Hebrews 1:14 the same or different beings? |
| The "First Estate (ἀρχή)" of Jude 1:6 | What is the "first estate" lost by the fallen sons, and how does this relate to the status of Melchisedec? |
| Spirits in Prison in 1 Peter 3:19 | Are the "spirits in prison" angels, or are they men who died in the first world? |
| Three Stages of Light | How does the light of the first world (Gen 1:3) differ from the light of the second world (Gen 1:14) and the light of the new heavens and new earth (Rev 21:23)? |
If you find the conclusions of this report persuasive, we invite you to review the subsequent documents to see the full picture of the first world. Melchisedec is just one piece of that massive picture, and becomes clearer when viewing the whole.
